What this website does

Nothing, in terms of data. There are no cookies. There is no analytics of any kind. There are no tracking pixels, no advertising tags, no social media buttons, and no embedded content from anywhere else.

Every file this site loads, including the fonts and the images, is served from this site. Your browser does not contact any other company when you open a page here, which is not the normal state of affairs and is the reason it is worth stating.

The contact form

The form on the contact page does not send anything anywhere. It checks what you have typed, then opens your own email program with a message already written out. Nothing leaves your computer until you press send in your own email program, and we receive it as an ordinary email.

That also means that if the form does not work for you, emailing us directly is exactly the same thing.

What we keep

If you email us about an order or a harvest day, we keep that email, and we keep the details we need to do the thing you asked for: your name, your email address, the postal address for a delivery, and what you ordered.

Order records are kept for five years, because tax rules here require it.
Harvest day bookings are kept for one year after the day.
General enquiries that do not turn into anything are deleted within a year.
We do not keep bank details. Payments come to us as ordinary transfers and we do not hold anything that could be used to take money.

Who else sees it

Our email provider, because that is how email works. The postal carrier, when we send a parcel, which needs your name and address. Our accountant, for order records, because tax.

Nobody else. We never send you anything you have not asked for, and we have never sold or shared a contact detail with anyone.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email us and we will do it, normally within a few days. If we have to keep an order record for the five year tax period we will tell you which record and why.

If you are not happy with how we have handled it you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority.

Changes

If this changes we will change this page. There is no version history because there has been nothing to record: this site has never had analytics or cookies and we have no plans to add them.
